Yaesu FTA-750L Portable aeronautical transceiver with VOR and GPS

The Yaesu FTA-750L is a VHF Airband transceiver, includes a 66 channel GPS receiver for navigation.

Featuring a large full-dot matrix LCD display, the FTA-750L transceiver offers full communication on the Aircraft communications band ("COM" band: 118 ~ 136.975 MHz) and also provides VOR and ILS navigation functions on the band "NAV" (108 ~ 117.975 MHz), and waypoint navigation.

The Yaesu FTA-750L includes NOAA time band monitoring and the ability to program up to 200 memory channels with quick and easy channel recall. The new menu system is icon-based which makes it simple to navigate all of the powerful features of this transceiver and GPS. Additionally, the Yaesu FTA-750L can be easily reprogrammed in minutes using optional PC programming software and the included USB programming cable.

- 66 channel WAAS GPS receiver! The FTA-750L features an integrated 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver that provides the ability to quickly store current location information as well as manual entry into waypoints for reliable navigation.

- When you activate a waypoint in the navigation screen it features a compass display.

The FTA-750L includes a GPS recording feature when activated which automatically stores location information at preset intervals. This is a great feature when backtracking is needed. ILS (Localizer & Glide Slope) and VOR navigation! When the FTA-750L receives a VOR signal the display will automatically switch to the navigation band screen, with CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) based on the received VOR signal. It features a large 1.7" x 1.7" display complete with dot matrix LCD with full backlight and dimmer. The high-resolution display makes it easy to view all the great features the FTA-750L has to offer. Well equipped! Includes rechargeable lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries, battery charger, DC cigarette lighter adapter, headset adapter cable, alkaline battery case, belt clip, and USB programming cable. The Yaesu FTA-750L features an IPX5 waterproof design. Great for flight line staff. The audio amplifier makes the FTA-750L louder than any other portable transceiver available today (for example, it is about 35% louder than the Icom IC-A23). The Yaesu FTA-750L is powered by a high capacity 1800 mAh lithium-ion battery that will last more than 12 hours between charges. 200 memory channels can be easily programmed into the FTA-750L allows for easy quick access to frequently used channels on the aviation band. Each channel can be programmed into the unit using the included PC programming software and cable. All memory channels can be labeled with a channel assignment number, operating frequency display, or an alpha-numeric channel name display. Press the Squelch button for two seconds and the FTA-750L's squelch remains open to monitor weak and distant signals. Pressing Squelch again resets settings. Battery Saver is designed to maximize the battery life of your transceiver. When the FTA-750L is in standby mode the battery saver de-energizes the transceiver circuitry, waking up at user-selected intervals to sample radio activity. If no activity is detected the FTA-750L returns to its sleep mode. Power consumption is kept to a minimum, This feature is only found on Yaesu airband transceivers! The FTA-750L can receive all NOAA broadcast time 10 frequencies.

Weather Channel Locator automatically scans for active NOAA weather stations in your area when the Weather band is selected.
