The Pro Set Media Pro was designed for computer use for defined radio by software (SDR) in amateur radio applications.

Based on Heil Sound's popular Pro Set communications headset, the Pro Set Media Pro uses a high-performance engineered electret microphone element specifically for your computer's sound card input requirements. The The result is beautiful, broadcast-quality audio with plug-and-play functionality.

The Pro Set Media Pro earphones are acoustically tuned and incorporate the unique Heil Sound's phase reversal switch that creates a broadening effect spatial which often makes the incoming audio easier to understand. The speakers of the Pro Set series headphones are 200 ohm devices, with a point of -3 dB at 8000 Hz. This combination greatly reduces the hiss found in stadiums receiver audio.

The Heil Sound Pro Set Media Pro is terminated with two 3.5mm male jack connectors industry standard: red connector connects to the "Microphone" input jack on the sound card, while the black connector connects to the audio output of the sound card (“headphone jack” or “speaker”). the Media Pro Comes with removable cotton ear tips that can be washed. The vinyl earcups can also be removed, should they need to be replaced. Each Pro Set comes with a microphone windscreen. The windshield does not affect the frequency response of the microphone and it is very effective in minimizing bursts of breath while speaking.

Note: Pro Set Media Pro does not work with transceivers amateur radio.
