The PR 40 uses the most advanced Heil technology in sound phasing pickup, along with the use of a very large diameter low mass diaphragm, and custom magnets housed in a specially designed microphone body.

The PR 40 diaphragm is shock mounted so as to be completely decoupled from the champagne anodized satin steel body. In addition to the dual mesh screens, each made with different diameter diaphragms, there is an internal air blow filter on the diaphragm element itself, which provides excellent response for the human voice across the entire vocal range, without "pop ". In fact, the PR 40 will provide a perfect, smooth, flat response from 28Hz all the way up to 18kHz, making this an exceptional microphone for everything from vocals, drums and drums, to guitar and bass microphones, and more.
