ECO ANTENNAS LW-40 QRO long wire end fed from 160 to 6 meters

The LW-40 are end-fed long wire antennas. They have a 9:1 UNUN at the feed point which allows powering directly with 50 Ohm coaxial cable. THE UNUN 9:1 also removes static noise and provides a DC path to ground. Everyone is capable of handling up to 400W RF.
At 40.5m long, it will work on all bands from 160m to 6m via an ATU. It can be mounted straight, inverted V or diagonally. It can also make different folds to fit to the space available.

Because of the variable impedance characteristic of any long wire antenna, the ATU built into the average transceiver will not be able to handle them all the bands. This antenna needs an external ATU or at least a capable system to capacitively load j and X of the antenna. This result is possible obtain with chord networks in L or T configuration.

The LW-40 is fully assembled and ready to use. Even the thread poly weave does not tangle and is extremely durable.
