CHARACTERISTICS :

The M-1 microphone is the latest creation from Yaesu, a very high quality, innovative microphone with double capsule, dynamic and condenser.

The condenser capsule produces a wide frequency response and clear, crisp audio characteristics, perfect for listening on crowded bands and indispensable for large DX pile-ups. The dynamic capsule is rich in bass and midrange, excellent for local QSOs.

The frequency of the capsules can be adjusted independently using the nine bands of the Graphic Equalizer. Each capsule has a separate volume control for independent adjustment of output levels. The output of each microphone capsule can be selected separately or combined to produce more pleasant tones.

Both the condenser and dynamic microphone capsules in the M-1 use nine bands of equalization (63Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 16kHz) and the frequency response of each element is independent and individually adjustable.

The TBC (Treble Boost Cowling) feature improves vocal response in the range between 1 and 1.5 kHz. The Cowling assembly creates a unique, exclusive and pleasant tone.

The PTT key switches using three cylinder conveyor tubes that provide a smooth and comfortable surface along the trapezoidal contact. The elimination of the mechanical switch in favor of the magnetic contact ensures long life and stable operation.

Other features included are: recording and playback capability (20 seconds); visibility of the TX position via a red LED with a particular design placed on the microphone cone; using a large LCD display it is possible to work with the graphic equalizer, view the settings and view the frequency response for each band.

This revolutionary microphone allows pre-listening via directly connected headphones and to perform settings without necessarily going on air. Just one touch is enough to go to tx, and a filter that can be inserted and disengaged as desired will model the curves of the lower frequencies automatically. The microphone is equipped with connection via XLR, RJ and 8 pin connector. The volume of the headphones is adjustable and two special screwdrivers are included to facilitate equalizer adjustments, output connector; and audio output volume control for headphones.

This special microphone is also sold in a limited series (100 examples produced) on the occasion of the 60th Yaesu Anniversary, a version that differs from the one normally on the market through a very elegant golden ring that wraps around the body of the microphone.
