It is thanks to the patience of Dmitri DL5AL that owners of the Icom IC-7000 and IC-706 can still think today of being able to separate the front panels of their radios given that the originals are now unobtainable.
NEW SEPARATION KIT IC-706 via LAN cable
Excellent alternative to the unobtainable and expensive OPC581
SKT-706 is fully compatible with the previous generation of kits. It still uses the RJ45 patch cable and has the same pinout. I recommend flat shielded CAT.6A cables for better signal to noise performance as in the image below.
The kit contains:
- Base unit adapter with M3 thumbscrew;
- Display board;
- Adapter board with 1/4 inch nut for mobile mounting;
- 2 x legs for placing on the desk.
