The PERSEUS is a "software defined" receiver based on the direct digital sampling architecture. It uses a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter with 80 MS/s sampling, a high-performance FPGA-based down-converter and a high-speed 480 Mbit/s USB interface.
A COMPLETE SDR RECEIVER FOR SHORTWAVES
The PERSEUS analog front end has been carefully designed for the most demanding users and includes a -30 dB attenuator, in 10 dB steps, a 10-band preselector, and a high dynamic preamplifier with a first-in-class third-order intercept point: more than 30 dBm. The resulting dynamics are more than 100 dB in SSB and more than 105 dB in CW. Believe us, there is no other SDR receiver with such high performance on the market. The PERSEUS receiver can function as a spectrum analyzer with a bandwidth of 10 kHz - 40 MHz with more than 100 dB of dynamics.
SOFTWARE FOR DEMANDING USERS
Being an SDR receiver, the PERSEUS performs the demodulation process by relying on software applications. In addition to providing digital signal processing capabilities, the PERSEUS software offers a convenient graphical interface and is easy to use under Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and 8. All the commands you are used to using are present in the main window of the application. Interfacing with third-party software is provided in various ways, through the "Microtelecom Software Defined Radio Developer Kit", virtual audio ports and virtual communication ports.
The PERSEUS software now supports recording and listening of the wideband spectrum, using 1 MHz sampling and an image rejection greater than 100 dB over a bandwidth of 800 kHz!
