The operating principle of an inverter is very simple: using the normal voltage of a battery of a boat, vehicle or camper it provides an alternating current output at 220V, with a sinusoidal waveform at 50 Hz, characteristic of normal voltage home network.
The essential factor in choosing an inverter is the output power (expressed in watts) which is delivered continuously; knowing in advance how many and which devices will be connected to the inverter, this will have to be chosen according to the ability to deliver a power slightly higher than that requested by the user.
Multiple devices can be connected to the same inverter: the total sum of the power required by each instrument must not exceed the maximum power supplied.
