Heil Sound GM ELITE - Top Class Dynamic Microphone for Pro series
Ref: GMELITE
Out-of-StockHeil Sound GM ELITE
Top Class Dynamic Microphone for Pro series
Heil Gold Elite microphones are designed and manufactured specifically for amateur radio communications. They contain two distinctly different high-performance dynamic elements that are available at the change of a switch to meet different types of communications needs.
The WIDE position has the Heil Elite full-range element that produces smooth, articulate audio from 60Hz-16kHz with the traditional Heil +4dB peak centered at 2kHz. This gives the new Gold Elite voice articulation excellent "low bottom" voice articulation, so important for producing a well-balanced, studio-quality SSB signal.
The NARROW position features the new HC-5.1 dynamic element. In 1982 Heil Sound revolutionized ham radio audio with the custom response HC-4 and HC-5 as radios had no transmit tone adjustments. Now that today's transceivers have some form of DSP microphone EQ adjustment, Bob Heil designed the HC-5.1 with the great midrange articulation of the original HC-5 and added 100 Hz to the bottom end which helps to make the response more fluid.
A "soft touch" PTT switch is connected to pins 3 and 4 to control transmission. Microphone audio is sent to pins 1 (shield) and 2 of the 4-pin XLRs. Gold Elite uses HEIL CC-1 microphone cables. Gold Elite microphones come with a foam windshield and microphone clip designed for stands and table stands.
