For use with IC-R20 only you will need

a jack socket splitter like the one in the photo

 ADVICE FOR IC-R20 USERS

To use the interface with a r20 "SPLITTER" ic and not a jack socket "DUPLICATOR".
The difference lies in this, a splitter divides the two right and left channels and therefore makes a separate channel available on each side,
while a duplicator reports the stereo channels equally on both sides, consequently inserting a mono jack does not obtain a useful connection.
