The Yaesu FT-891 is an HF amateur transceiver covering the 160 to 6 meter bands, with 100 watts. It features a general coverage receiver triple tuning conversion 30 kHz to 56 MHz. Modes include AM, USB, LSB and CW. DSP technology supports QRM and noise reduction, auto notch and APF audio peak filter. Other features include: attenuator, 4-60 WPM keyer, TCXO, CAT port, auto shut-off, full break-in, backlit LCD display and backlit keys. This radio is easy to use. The large tuning knob (1.6") has a torque adjustment. All buttons on the front panel are placed in logical positions for quick and easy access to frequently needed controls. For example, a multi-function knob allows quick adjustment of the Operating frequency in 500kHz steps. QMB key is useful for quick memory Bank storage of 5 priority memories for quick recall. Three other front panel keys can be programmed for user preference.

The detachable front panel features a large dot matrix LCD display with a quick spectrum analyzer. The /BUSY TX on the front panel clearly communicates to the operator about the current status of the transceiver (for example --- lights up green when receiving signals while the mute opens and turns red for transmitting. There is a USB port for PC connection (CAT control, audio interface, PTT/RTTY control).

The FT-891 comes with: MH-31A8J hand microphone, microphone clip, MMB-82 cell phone mounting bracket, spare fuse, manual, safety guide and DC power cord. It requires 13.8 VDC at 23 Amperes. 6.1 x 2 x 8.6 inches (155x52x218mm).

ULTRA COMPACT DESIGN :

With dimensions of 155 x 52 x 218 mm, the GT-891 is an innovative multiband transceiver, an ultra-compact transceiver for mobile or portable use and with a usual design.

SOLID AND RELIABLE FINAL STAGE :

The FT-891 delivers a stable power of 100W (25W AM). The high reliability of the final circuit is ensured by the careful design of the circuits and the integration of two high efficiency fans controlled through thermistors.

THE HISTORIC DESIGN OF YAESU RECEIVERS ENSURES EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE:

- Triple conversion receiver with a first IF frequency at 69.450 MHz (SSB/CW/AM);
- 3 kHz Roofing filter as standard;
- The TCXO module ±0.5 ppm ensures very high frequency stability (-10 to +50°C)

THE IF DSPF PROVIDES AN EFFECTIVE AND OPTIMIZED QRM REDUCTION :

The high-speed 32-bit DSP (max. 3000 MIPS), offers effective QRM reduction (DNR) which is often very annoying on HF frequencies. Furthermore, the AUTO NOTCH (DNF) automatically eliminates the highest tones that disturb reception. CONTOUR and ARF are very useful tools for reducing noise during operations on the HF bands. Traditional YAESU QRM reduction functions are all available on the FT-891.

AUTOMATIC ANTENNA TUNER WITH 100 MEMORY CHANNELS (OPTIONAL):

The FC-50 is an antenna tuner designed specifically for the FT-891. Connecting the FC-50 to the FT-891 is extremely simple.
