The IC-7300 is an SDR (Software Defined Radio), All Mode HF/50/70 MHz transceiver operating in SSB, AM, FM, CW and RTTY.
The device uses direct RF sampling technology, a peculiarity of SDR (Software Defined Radio) devices and represents an important change in the world of amateur radio.
It is a technical solution that allows to reduce hardware complexity, significantly improving the signal/noise ratio.
The signals are in fact converted into digital data and then processed by the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array).
The result is a clean, clear signal and excellent audio output.

The device also integrates the Waterfall function which allows you to view the variation in intensity of a signal over time and to detect even the weakest signals.
Combining this feature with the “Real Time” spectrum analyzer will enhance the performance of the IC-7300 by increasing your QSO opportunities without missing any signals, including the weakest ones.

Also highly appreciated is the Audio Scope function which allows you to monitor various audio characteristics such as the microphone compressor level, filter width, notch filter width and keying waveform in CW mode.
The received or transmitted audio signals can be displayed on the FFT oscilloscope and oscilloscope.

The new “IP+” function improves the performance of the third-order “intercept point” (IP3).
When receiving a weak signal adjacent to a strong source of interference, the AD converter is optimized to counteract and reduce signal distortion using this function.
The device features 15 discrete RF bandpass filters.
The RF signal is passed through only one of the filters, while any out-of-range signals are blocked.

The high Q coils used minimize loss in the RF bandpass filters.
To further ensure clear and natural audio reproduction, the speaker is placed in a dedicated space, isolated from the transceiver chassis to avoid any annoying resonance or vibration.

The IC-7300 features a large 4.3" TFT color LCD touch screen display for quick and intuitive operation.

Thanks to the controls on the screen, it will be possible to set the various functions with simplicity and precision.
The touch screen keyboard allows you to set various functions and modify the contents of the memory with extreme ease.

Furthermore, the use of the multifunction knob, in combination with the touch screen display, further facilitates any search and setting operation.

When you press the multifunction knob, the menu items are shown on the right side of the display and you can select the desired item by simply touching the screen.

Other key features include an automatic antenna tuner with built-in tuning memory, IP remote control via the optional RS-BA1 software, and a micro SD card slot for data storage.

The IC-7300 has the same dimensions and form factor as the IC-9700.
The button layout and menu screens are also nearly identical to those of the IC-9700.
The combination of the two devices will give rise to an ideal and compact radio station that will allow operation on HF/50/70/144/430/1200 MHz.
