The Yaesu FT-891 is a HF amateur transceiver covering the 160 to 6 meter bands, with 100 watts. It features a triple tuning general coverage receiver conversion 30 kHz to 56 MHz. Modes include AM, USB, LSB and CW. The DSP technology supports QRM and noise reduction, auto notch and APF audio peak filter. Other features include: attenuator, 4-60 WPM keyer, TCXO, CAT port, auto power off, full break-in, backlit LCD display and backlit keys. This radio is easy to use. The large tuning knob (1.6") has a torque adjustment. All front panel buttons are placed in logical positions for quick and easy access to frequently needed controls. For example, a multi-function knob allows quick adjustment of the operating frequency in 500kHz steps. The QMB key is useful for Quick Memory Bank storing 5 priority memories for quick recall. Three other front panel buttons can be programmed to user preference.
The removable front panel features a large dot matrix LCD display with a fast spectrum analyzer. The TX/BUSY indicator on the front panel clearly informs the operator of the current status of the transceiver (for example --- it lights up green when receiving signals while the squelch opens and turns red for transmitting. There is a USB port for connection to a PC (CAT control, audio interface, PTT/RTTY control).
The FT-891 comes with: MH-31A8J hand microphone, microphone clip, MMB-82 cell phone mounting bracket, spare fuse, manual, safety guide and DC power cord. Requires 13.8 VDC at 23 Amps. 6.1 x 2 x 8.6 inches (155x52x218mm).

DETAILS :
ULTRA COMPACT DESIGN :
Measuring 155 x 52 x 218 mm, the GT-891 is an innovative multi-band transceiver, an ultra-compact, portable or mobile transceiver with a sleek design.
SOLID AND RELIABLE FINAL STAGE :
The FT-891 delivers a stable 100W (25W AM) of power. High reliability of the final circuit is ensured by careful circuit design and the integration of two high-efficiency fans controlled by thermistors.
HISTORIC YAESU RECEIVER DESIGN ENSURES EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE:
- Triple conversion receiver with a first IF frequency at 69.450 MHz (SSB/CW/AM);
- 3 kHz roofing filter as standard;
- The ±0.5 ppm TCXO module ensures very high frequency stability (-10 to +50°C)
The IF DSPF PROVIDES AN EFFECTIVE AND OPTIMIZED QRM REDUCTION :
The 32-bit high-speed DSP (max. 3000 MIPS) provides effective noise reduction (DNR) of QRM, which is often very annoying on HF frequencies. In addition, the AUTO NOTCH (DNF) automatically eliminates the highest tones that disturb reception. The CONTOUR and ARF are very useful tools for reducing noise during operation on the HF bands. The traditional YAESU QRM reduction functions are all available on the FT-891.
100 CHANNEL MEMORY AUTOMATIC ANTENNA TUNER (OPTIONAL):
The FC-50 is an antenna tuner designed specifically for the FT-891. Connecting the FC-50 to the FT-891 is extremely simple.
CHARACTERISTICS :
- Large dot matrix LCD display with Rapid Spectrum Analyzer;
- Three multi-function buttons on the front panel fully programmable by users;
- The USB port, allows you to connect to a PC with a single cable (CAT control, PTT/RTTY control);
- The TUN/LIN connector allows connection of the FT-891 to the FC-50 tuner or a linear amplifier;
- Latest technology electronic keyer (4 to 60 WPM) with the possibility of operating in FULL BK-IN;
- Supports ATAS (Active-Tuning Antenna System) antennas (ATAS-120A, ATAS-25: Option)
